Gogoro is in bad shape. Following the deep drop reported 2020, in 2021 and 2022 Gogorò global sales remained stable at 92.000 sales, failing all development projects outside of Taiwan and losing share at home.

Global Sales Trend

While Global electric scooter market boomed in 2022, one of the first interpreter of this new market, the innovative Taiwanese EV specialist Gogoro, reported the second consecutive year of not positive performances.

Following the deep drop reported 2020, in 2021 and 2022 Gogorò global sales remained stable at 92.000 sales, failing all development projects outside of Taiwan and losing share in electric scooter segment at home.

The manufacturer doubled sales each year between 2015 and 2019, focusing activities in Taiwan, where it was supported by generous government incentives for EVs and absence of real competition in the segment.

When in 2020 the Taiwanese government decided to cut EVs incentives and competitors introduced their electric scooters in the market, Gogoro sales dropped,

Gogoro, not only have lost steam at home, but failed the internationalization, although their GoShare project was rewarded in all the World providing an immediate brand awareness.
